Green News: Reducing the footprint

The electricty efficiency policies introduced by Environmental Champion Vicky Nash at company HQ have started to produce results. Having upgraded the gas central heating system and instituted a number of smaller changes, we have overseen a significant reduction in our electricty consumption. When compared to the previous year, the four months from November to Feburary have seen a saving of:  10489 units/ Kwhs

In terms of environmental benefits this is the equivilent of 5 .53 tonnes of CO2 in these 3 months alone which is equivalent to heating a detached house with insulated cavity walls for 5 1/2 months.

The changes these polcies have introduced constitute a step on our path towards sustainability. We will make further announcments here as developments continue to be made.
